From Lo debar to Kingdom of God

From Lo debar to Kingdom of God

Jesus gave us the keys to the kingdom.  Today I want to give you some keys on how to live in the Kingdom.  God has given us the Kingdom, it is our responsibility to live in the kingdom.

At the beginning of 2008 the Lord began to speak to me about these keys:

Kingdom purpose = Kingdom Vision

Kingdom vision = Kingdom Mindset

Kingdom mindset = Kingdom speech

Kingdom speech = Kingdom attitude

Kingdom attitude = Kingdom actions

Kingdom actions = Kingdom living.

These 7 keys are vital to living in the Kingdom of God.

I want to break each of these keys down for us.  I have only 40minutes so I will only be able to touch on these keys. My hope is that this will stir you and challenge you to a new perspective on your purpose, your vision, your mindset, your speech, your attitude, your actions and how you are living.  Jesus said “seek ye first the Kingdom and His righteousness and all these things shall be added upon you.”

2 Samuel 9:1-13

1)      The first key is to know Kingdom purpose.

Mephiboseth had purpose.  The name mephiboseth means a dispellar of   shame.  In the name there is purpose.  We see that Mephiboseth was not fulfilling his purpose.

Our ultimate purpose is to be Like Christ – imitating Him in character, mission, and gifts.  We have been anointed  to fulfill this purpose

-          Christ in you and among you the hope(expectation) of Glory(His attributes)

-          Christ is the Head, Christ is the Body, Christ is the Spirit

-          The influence you are under will determine whether you are fulfilling Kingdom purpose or not

2)      The second key to Know is Kingdom vision.

Vision is to spring forth from purpose.  If you are not living your purpose then your vision will be blurred.

We see that Mephiboseth vision was blurred due to a lack of fulfilling His purpose.   Mephiboseth saw Himself as a dead dog.

Prov 29:18 says where there is no vision the people perish or walk about unrestrained.  Mephiboseth lacked vision, We as the body of Christ need to have vision.  Our vision is not to be on our circumstances or problems.  This reminds me of police driver training  ( must look ahead not right in front and allow our peripheral vision look after the immediate concerns)  The influence Mephihboseth was under blurred His vision.  When under the right influence we will have the proper vision and will see beyond our problems  and see from a proper perspective.

3)      The third key to know is Kingdom mindset.

If you are not living your purpose, and your vision is blurred then our mindset will be off.  Mephiboseth had a wrong mindset.  His mindset was on His condition rather than His position.  We must not have a mindset of lack.  For many of us our mindsets are still old nature, rather than new nature.   We are double minded.

I was crucified with Christ, no longer I that liveth but Christ that lives in me.  Romans 12:2 says be not conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you may prove the acceptable and perfect will of God.  What is our mind being renewed to .  According to 1 Cor 2:16 But we have the mind of Christ.  The truth is that we have the mind of Christ when we get saved but many of us don’t operate or function out of the mind of Christ , our mind must be renewed to the mind of Christ or our minds will revert back to our old nature.  The mind of Christ is the 7 fold spirit of God.  The spirit of the Lord, the Spirit of Wisdom, The Spirit of Understanding, the Spirit of Counsel, The Spirit of might(strength), the Spirit of Knowledge, and the Fear of the Lord.

4)      The fourth key to know is Kingdom speech.

If you are not living the right purpose, your vision is blurred, your mindset is off, then your speech will be sour.  We see here that mephiboseth was speaking sour because His mindset was off. He had a wrong mindset about ;who he was, and who he was called to be.

Out of our mouth we have the power to speak life and death.  Are you speaking life or are you speaking death.  Many are speaking from their old nature, the language of Egypt(grumbling, murmuring, and complaining.  Or are we speaking the language of God( the Word , the truth, and the Life)

Your voice is like your fingerprint- there is no other voice like yours , so stop using someone else’s voice and start using your voice.

5)      The fifth key to know is Kingdom attitude.

The word attitude denotes  position, our condition with reference to a place.

Mephiboseth had an attitude  of Lo debar, His condition of lameness----our true position is seated with Christ in Heavenly High places and our condition is no longer stagnant, dead, lame, impaired, diseased.  We need to live from our position not in our condition.  Our condition is healed when we live out of the proper position. In Heaven there is no sickness, no disease, no lack, no cripple, no impairment, etc…

6)      The sixth key to know is Kingdom actions.
The word actions speaks of habits, or the state of acting or being active

What are our habits, are they Godly habits that are a result of our purpose, vision, mindset, speech, attitude, or are they ungodly habits.  Are our actions reflective of the King and His Kingdom or are they reflective of the world, carnality or old nature.   We are called to reflect the King and His kingdom by our actions.  The will know us by our Love(action)

What pleases God?   Faith(which is action)   Our we acting out of Faith or fear.  Mephiboseth acted out of fear(false evidence appearing real) not faith

7)      The seventh key to know is Kingdom living.

Mephiboseth was living in a place called Lo debar-  which means a pastureless place, a garbage dump, a filthy place, the place of no growth, no fertility, no life, stagnant, place.   Mephibiseth was eating at the Kings table but was still crippled(damaged, hurt,  impaired.

The word living denotes Having life, mephiboseth wasn’t living He was dead in Lo debar, stagnant,   Jesus said I have come so that you may have life and have life more abundantly, to overflow.  ,  also means  burning, glowing, flowing freely as water.   Are you a burning flame full of passion, fulfilling your purpose, glowing with the Glory of God, being transformed into His image. Do you have rivers of living water flowing out of your belly(sevenfold spirit of God) a fountain.

How many of us are like mephiboseth eating at the Kings table and yet still crippled(damaged, hurt, impaired, stagnant, unfertile, barren,)  God is done with us coming to His table and not changing, not living as Kings from the Position of the Kingdom of Heaven.

When we come into the kingdom we need to be living differently.  When we have the right purpose, we will see with the right perspective, when we have the right vision we will function out of the mind of Christ.  When we have the right mindset we will speak with power, and authority.  When we have the right speech we will live from our position(seated with Christ in heavenly high places.)

When are attitude is right then we will see signs, wonders, miracles.  When our actions are right then we will see the Shekinnah Glory in and operating out of our lives, for we will be like Him, His life is ours and our life is His., as a result we will manifest His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
