What are the voices in an earthly court? (judge, attorneys, witnesses, bailiff, recorder, jurors, etc) There are also voices in the courts of heaven. Our job is to identify the voices and come into agreement the Godly ones so His will is accomplished on earth.
If we are praying God’s will for an extended period of time and we see no results, it is probably because something legal is standing in the way of the answer, Satan has found a legal right to resist. (you may be praying for your child to do well in school but going around saying how he has trouble learning) This is when we need to learn to agree with the voice of the courts of heaven.
You Have Come to Mount Zion
What is ‘Zion’?
Hebrews 12:22) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23) To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24) And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
What was given at Sinai?
The law was given there, it is a place of legalism and death.
How did the Israelites respond at Mount Sinai?
They were afraid and did not want to hear the voice of God.
Sinai was part of the journey but not the destination. We are now at Zion. The earthly manifestation of Mount Zion was begun by David.
What did King David set in place concerning worship?
He set up a place of perpetual worship.
Zion is not about the worship itself, but instead the purpose of worship. David set this up so that from the presence or worship he could govern a nation. Out of our worship should flow the governing authority of God though His church. When we worship, the heavenly realm is rearranged so heaven can enter earth.
Psa. 110:1) The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit [as a judge] thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies [adversaries] thy footstool. 2) The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule [have dominion] thou in the midst of thine enemies.
The rod of strength flows from Zion and causes the enemies, our adversaries to be subdued. The activity of Zion is to give rulership and governmental authority.
When we praise we are in Sinai or Zion?
We are in Zion, the place of His governing power. We do not have to strive to get to this position, it has already been granted to us.
The Mountain of the Lord’s House
Is. 2:1) The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2) And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. 3) And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4) And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
Of what do mountains in scripture generally speak of prophetically? They speak of governments, seen and unseen. (Isaiah 40:3-4 & Luke 3:1-6)
In Matt 17:19-21, the boy is under the influence or a demonic ‘mountain’ or demonic governmental authority, not just a simple demon. That’s why it could not be cast out except through prayer and fasting by someone with the governmental authority over the demonic government.
In Isaiah 2:2, where is the Lord’s house established?
It is on the top of the mountains.
It is the government over all governments. In Isaiah 56:7, house and mountain are used interchangeably. God’s house is in the mountain and the mountain in the house. In Matthew 16:18, Jesus talks of building His church, His ecclesia, His governmental, judicial and legislative body. This can relate back to the house with the mountain in it. That means we, the ecclesia, have the right to stand in the courts of heaven. This place is given to those who ‘come to Mount Zion’.
In Isaiah 2:3, what comes from Mount Zion?
The law comes, but it is not the same law that came from Sinai.
What is the difference?
Sinai was the law for the Israelites to obey and Zion is the law that governs nations.
Hebrews 12:22 says, “But ye are come unto mount Sion.” We have arrived at the place of judicial and governmental authority.
Discipling Nations from Mount Zion
In Isaiah 2:4, who is judged?
We see that from the mountain of the Lord’s house, nations are judged. Jesus will judge through the house with the mountain in it. What is the house with the mountain in it?
We are, the ecclesia.
In Matthew 28:19-20 what are we are told to do?
Not make disciples, but to disciple nations. We are to make the nations look like heaven. This is done through judicial activity and legal precedents.
There are 9 voices active in the courts of heaven, 8 are mentioned in Heb 12:22-24. When we come into agreement with these voices we become part of granting God the legal right to fulfil His passion.
- The voice of the blood of Jesus - releases testimony before the throne of God that allows Him the legal right to release His passion. Hebrews 12:24
- The Mediator of the New Covenant - officers of a legal system sent to resolve conflict. Hebrews 12:24
- the spirit of just men made perfect - the Christians that have died and are in heaven. Hebrews 12:23
- God, the Judge of all - He is not only Father and Lord, but Judge. Hebrews 12:23
- The church of the firstborn registered in heaven - the Ecclesia. Hebrews 12:23
- the general assembly - the multitude worshipping the Lord around His throne. Hebrews 12:23
- the innumerable company of angels - varying ranks of angels. Hebrews 12:22
- the city of the Living God, Heavenly Jerusalem - the Bride of the Lamb. Revelation 21:19-20
- the voice of finance - giving of our finances. Hebrews 7:8
